Our last visit of Tweed was during a business trip to Perth. We were greeted by a nice sign and parked at the "Beachwood Hollow Resort" which is located on the west shore of the "Stoco Lake".
Tweed is a friendly little town not only located on "Stoco Lake" but also at the banks of the "Moira River".
We strolled around a loved it here. Because we were on a tough schedule, we did not check any details of the resort and the cottages they offer, but it is certainly a place which I would consider to stay to explore the town and its surroundings.
We had some short cottage vacation in Callander and loved it.
Tweed is a little friendly and clean town
I am always happy when I see a village or town which is kept clean. When I came from Germany, I was shocked at the begriming how careless some people are. We live in the Niagara Region and every morning we could pick up garbage in front of our house.
In Tweed we talked to a very friendly volunteer who was do some gardening. She even wa using her own truck and was very proud of the good work she did. This is something which I miss in Germany.
I was surprised when I used the public washroom - even that was extremely clean. Because of these first good impressions of Tweed I added it to our Internet travel guide and I hope that we can come back to stay here for a few days.
I was told that many artists come also to this pretty village to get inspirations for their work.
