It was always a pleasure for Elizabeth and me to take the private road from Oberaudorf.  Normally we started in Oberaudorf When I was looking at this replica of a Tatzelwurm, I started wondering whether the artist did not know that it should have a 'cat's head or he used newer result of the Tatzelwurm research program which are not yet accessible to me.  First you will find a first class restaurant which even provides accommodation and the statue of a "Tatzelwurm" After you found a spot to park your car, we recommend that you do first the walking and sightseeing. Wear good shoes or sneakers - no high heels! Even when you can't compare the water falls with those of Niagara Falls they are still extremely impressing because of the natural surroundings.  A very impressive scenery which no photo can catch  Needs quiet a bit walking to get there  Have a good view from the bridge!  Breathe the clean air  I think these falls are higher than the falls of the Niagara river We hope that you found a parking spot close to this place because you may be exhausted after climbing up and down the hill. It is not hazardous but if you are out of training and out of shape you will know that you have a body which is not built for that. So sit either on the patio of the restaurant or on a tree trunk and relax after. I am always watching my weight and after such an adventure I do my best to gain the lost energy back with a good beer and a good meal or at least a "Brotzeit". For some people like Elizabeth just a coffee will do the same. |
