Coat of arms Simbach on the Inn

Simbach is over 1000 years old and it is still young. Whenever I was there, time seemed to run faster. However, I have to admit that I have borrowed the pictures used in this site. I did not take any pictures because at that time I had no plans to write a tourist guide for Eastern Bavaria. Many thanks to all the people who helped me!

Simbach am Inn
Still proud on their "Trachten" (costumes)

Don't think that these outfits are only worn for a festival, you still can see, even young people, wearing them during daily life.

Simbach am Inn
"Simbach am Inn" - bridge to Braunau, Austria

Do you know who came from Braunau and brought lots of misery? It was Adolf Hitler who was born in this lovely city!

Simbach am Inn
The "Rathaus" (city hall- not "rat house")

An old building does not mean that the services and administration provided is outdated.

Simach am Inn car show
The name of this smart car is "Smart" - shown during a local car show

This car is still an attraction - not only to me. Maybe I can rent one when I visit Germany the next time. I only have to put restrictions on the luggage we take with us. It has two seats only, but I love it, especially when you need a parking spot.

Many thanks for pictures to the Tourist Board of Bavaria and involved communities
