The Dachau region is very close to Munich and many people that live here work in the Munich area.
We came for small events, looked for bargains, enjoyed the food in country style restaurants. (Gaststätten) and naturally to see the concentration camp in Dachau.
If you want to stay for a few days in the Munich area, you should always should consider staying outside of the busy city. The public transportation system is state-of-the-art and is very often faster than going by car. It is also less stressful and much more relaxing.
