 Map Lindau-Westallgäu Region:  This region has much natural beauty. Lake Constance, the mountains and an healthy environment attract many visitors. 
The Lindau-Westallgäu Region is blessed with beauty You can find accommodation everywhere. However, forget about the big hotel chains. Little hotels, bed & breakfast, guest houses (Gasthöfe), camping etc. what we recommend. 
Scheidegg Scheidegg is one of the favorite destinations of many visitors at any season. Hiking, biking, skiing, guided tours are the main activities. 
Nonnenhorn The region is also well known for its dairy products. Elizabeth still talks about the "Continental Breakfast" she got in the Allgäu. Good bread, fresh sweet butter, yoghourt, all kind of cheese, soft boiled eggs, cold cuts, her "bird food" (muesli), fruit juices and good coffee. She had so much for breakfast that she didn't need any lunch. 
Cows are everywhere in the Allgäu Did you know that many cows vacation up in the mountains. They stay there for many months. Such places are called an "Alm" wher they graze.
