A visit to the "Keltenbad" (Celtic Bath) a health spa in Bad Salzungen, Thuringia

In the main pool you can spend hours without feeling cold and there is always something to discover.
Not only the children loved to swim or walk to the spot shown in the left picture below where it suddenly began to "rain".
Not only the main pool contains brine water. A favorite for many people is the so called "salt pot" which has a similar brine concentration as in the dead sea.
Just watch people floating without any movement on their backs and join them after you have been convinced that you will not drown. Normally, it is recommended not to exceed a stay of 20 minutes.
Always take a shower after leaving this pool with the comfortable hot water.

 One of the saunas The "Celtic Bath" can be very proud on saunas which you find there. My wife, Elizabeth was amazed. She never had seen anything like that before. She could not take any pictures because everybody - men, women and children are in the nude. We show "censored" pictures for that reason which were provided by the management of the Keltenbad. |

As you can see the sauna area is really something very unique. You must discover it by yourself.
Don't be ashamed. Most people you will see would not win in a beauty contest and the nudity becomes natural and has nothing to do with sexual desires. We believe that violent movies and war games are much more destructive than going to a sauna in the nude. We learned that special events take also place in the "Keltenbad". It would exceed our capabilities to show all that in our brief web site. Please get the actual information when you are there. Some of these events promise lots of fun. We did not visit the fitness center, an area which is designated to all kind of exercises. Please check by yourself if you are interested! As a top of the line spa the "keltenbad" offers naturally also a great variety of treatments to improve your appearance and beauty. The well known "Rasul" is offered for peeling off old skin and many other exciting looking specialities for reasonable prices. Ask the experts when you are there. Don't forget a good English/German dictionary! |

 The "Rasul" treatment uses different kind of selected mud for peeling. We included a description of the "Rasul" treatment in one of our other web pages. You should always take it at the end of you visit to a spa in order to be effective. |
