Friedberg is close to Augsburg and larger than Aichach. If you like castles, you should not miss a trip to this old town.

You can spend hours walking around and taking pictures. The castle was built around 1257 by the "Wittelsbach" Duke Ludwig II for his nephew.
People expected protection by this fortress and founded the town Friedberg a few years later.

Visit the "Heimatmuseum" if it is open. No entrance fee is charged.
