It was not only our business which brought Elizabeth and myself once in a while to this beautiful and interesting region.

As already said, Elizabeth and I like to visit this region. It is less hectic than other places and sometimes we needed that.

We had a quiet and peaceful time with friends. I talked Elizabeth into trying some dishes which were foreign to her. She became a mushroom fanatic after having tried some of these specialties in fine restaurants.
She loved "Pfifferlinge" (chandelles) and "Steinpilze" (boletus edulis).
Please collect mushrooms only when you know what you are doing. Friends from Germany came to Canada and prepared a delicious meal of beautiful Canadian mushrooms. They all ended in the hospital and would have had to pay a nice bill if the travel insurance would not have covered this adventure.
We also liked all the small villages and the castles which we discovered.
