By driving you could easily miss something because in the high season the traffic can be heavy and parking may not be available everywhere.
Shopping is only one block away. Also a 24 hours supermarket can be reached by car in 2 minutes.
Free parking is in front of the house and garden at Homewood Avenue available. Please use the entrance by the carport for this is easier.

From Toronto
Take "Q.E.W." (Queen Elizabeth Way) south (Hamilton, St. Catharines, Fort Erie)
First exit in Niagara Falls is Thorold Stone Road. On Thorold Stone road turn left (east) and go down until Stanley Ave, turn right.
At Bridge St. (1st light) turn left and also turn left at Homewood Ave. (1 block off Stanley)
If you miss the first exit take the 2nd at HWY 420 (labelled &"Bridge to USA").
Take Highway 420 to the Falls. At Stanley Ave. (the first set of lights), turn left.
At Bridge St. (3rd light turn right, turn left st Homewood Ave. 91 Block off Stanley)

Susan's Retreat is centrally located and not far from the downtown area of Niagara Falls as you can see on the map.
Many attractions, such as the Falls, the Casino, Clifton Hill and shops are only a few minutes away by car. How do you park free in this tourist area? We will give you more information about that when you are here.

From Northeast US
Take US 90 West towards Buffalo, New York.
In greater Buffalo you should then take exit #53.
Sign for Exit #53 also says "Bridge to Canada" and "US 190 North".
Drive approximately 8 miles and then take "Exit #9" to Peace Bridge into Canada.
Take "Q.E.W." (Queen Elizabeth Way) Toronto/Niagara. Drive approximately 18 miles to Niagara Falls.
Take "HWY 420" to the Falls and at Stanley Ave. (the first set of lights) turn left.
At Bridge St. (3rd light) turn right and at Homewood Ave. turn left.
Drawbridge at the Welland Canal
From here you can reach this Bridge in approximately 10 to 15 minutes and watch the ships go by. |
