Stratford is called Canada's premier art town. I am always cautious to use such statements but we love to go to Stratford. Especially, Elizabeth, my wife, visits every year with her cousin the Stratford Festival to see a show.
Sometimes I may join them to see a performance where they do not speak in Old English which I would not understand - maybe a musical or something funny.
The city hall
Real nice and good restaurants are essential for me
Elizabeth enjoys the plays in the different theatres since many years.
Stratford attracts visitors from all over the world and offers more than just the festival. Excellent shopping in little boutiques, sightseeing, exhibitions. We never left disappointed.
Historic buildings and very clean side walks
A nice place to relax after going shopping with Elizabeth
Nice parks invite you for little walks. Sometimes you will find art sales here.

Elizabeth is visiting the festivals since years
Elizabeth is visiting Stratford for years to watch one play together with her cousin.
I stay at home because I would never understand most of it unless it is something modern which is also offered!
I love to read where I can stop anytime to go to sleep without missing anything. Hearing problems also do not affect reading!
However, I love Stratford and enjoyed it very much.
The eye catching "Victoria Lake" is crossed by the "Avon River".
Just collect actual printed information when you are in Stratford. Besides the plays in the theatres there are so many other things to see and to do which you may enjoy. Stratford is certainly also a place to stay for a few days to explore the surroundings.
