Little Sauble Beach is well know because of the 11 km long sandy beach on the western shores of Lake Huron.
I was surprised to learn that it is the second longest freshwater beach in the world. The longest one is also in Ontario. You only have to travel to Wasaga Beach which is not too far away.
sauble Beach is the perfect place for everybody who loves outdoor activities. Not only in summer but also during winter.
Unfortunately all our own pictures got lost when our computer was stolen.

Everything depends what you love, how old you are and wether you travel with little kids.
I am old and do not like any longer loud music and activities tailored for a young crowd.
I love peaceful surroundings and nature. We found this in smaller cottage resorts.

Also Port Elgin - another vacation town - is blessed with a sandy beach. Don't miss to visit the nearby "MacGregor Point Provincial Park". The national and provincial parks are always an attraction for every nature lover.
