Events are celebrated worldwide with parades. Canada and Ontario are no exceptions.
The annual Rose Parade in Welland, Ontario, was again a spectacular event in June 2008. This year it was dedicated to the celebration of the 150 th. anniversary of our city which is also called "The Rose City".
Naturally you cannot compare it with the world famous carnival parades in South America or Europe, but if you are in Ontario and have a chance to see such a parade, please do so.
Our "antique house" is placed direct on the route of the parade and I had only to move a chair and my camera equipment to the patio to watch everything.

I think it is not necessary to comment all pictures.
The names of many participating organizations will not tell you too much if you come from overseas or you are not from our area.
However, you see how much efforts were spent to make especially this parade to a big success. Many people from the Niagara Region came to see this annual event of our city.
