A journey in a helicopter through our country and visiting all provinces and territories is not an easy task. Good and detailed planning was necessary to make this film successful. Much more than just selecting the routes was required. The fuel supply, scheduled maintenance has to be guaranteed in uninhabited areas. The changing weather conditions were another major factor to be considered. A special part of the DVD is dedicated to the making of the film "Over Canada" and shows how the highly motivated team mastered all that. |
As already said - Canada is the second largest country on earth. The southern part is on the same and the northern part is in the arctic. It reaches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The population is approximately 30 million. Large parts of our country can only reached by air. There are very often no road or railway connections. Visitors who want to experience adventurous vacations with fishing, hunting or watching the nature use the services of so called bush pilots.
