I try to avoid too many repetitions. I have started to describe tours along Lake Erie, the Grand River and the Niagara Park Way.
But some times you will find the same pictures in different sited from us. I apologize for that, but during a break in my computer was stolen and I lost many pictures - so I must use what I have. No insurance would pay to do all the trips again.
In addition we had to cancel certain trip which we had planned for 2010.
We wanted to stay for one week in a cottage in Bruce Mines in the "Algoma Country". We already have prepared a Web site for Dieter and Renate who operate the "Three Oak Tourist Resort" there.
Please check the web site to see what we probably will miss this year.
The site contains many pictures which were given to us from the owners.
Our last chance for a visit is this fall. The changing colors of the leaves is certainly also something exciting to see.
We love to go north - here the "Pinery Provincial Park" on Lake Huron
Unfortunately, we had to do many of our trips at the "wrong" time. But we still loved it up at Lake Huron in "Southwestern Ontario".
The "Pinery Provincial Park" is located in Grand Bend.
Nice sand dunes similar to those in Long Point
We always prefer the "Provincial Parks" to public beaches
Please visit the different places on the east shore of Lake Huron. When we traveled there the tourist season was long gone and it was quiet and peaceful. During summer that will be different.
Please check our very brief Internet travel guide for this region.
Maybe you way back brings you through Stratford. See the map on your right for reference.
Stratford is famous as a theater town. Elizabeth, my wife, comes every year to see a performance together with her cousin.
They do not only play Shakespeare but also musicals.
But even when you do not intend to see a play, Stratford is a very attractive town to visit.

If you always had the desire to visit London and never did - do it here in Ontario!
Because we cannot afford to take pictures from a helicopter I say thanks to Mike Harris, Manager, Communications and Administration Tourism London for his help with many great pictures. Please use our travel guide to see more.
An aerial from London
Visit "Fanshawe Pioneer Village" in London to see how people lived and worked in the earlier days in Ontario. It is very similar to what I saw in a similar place in Germany.
You will find completely furnished buildings and costumed interpreters who can answer all your questions. Also lots of farm equipment is on display.
Your children will enjoy it also. Please visit our web site to get a better impression.
As nice as it is in southern Ontario - we still want to explore more the northern part of our province. We love to visit remote areas with lots of unspoiled nature and only few people.
Newfoundland-Labrador was a typical example and our north offers similar things.
Dieter from the "Three Oak Tourist Resort" told me that even in high season we will find in his area what we are looking for.
Once when we visited in high season the gorgeous area around Midland we experienced severe problems to find a place to sleep despite the fact that we even carried a tend with us.
We had decided very fast to make mini vacations and did not do any advanced booking.
Because of the help of a friendly lady who allowed us to camp in her garden in Penetanguishene we still had a wonderful time there. You will find some more information on the next page!
We spent hours in the "Discovery Harbour" in Penetanguishene.
