In Canada and especially in Ontario the history is young. In the "New World" everything which is over 150 years old is antique. Events from the 19 th. century are also considered to be a far back.
I am glad that many cities have learned the value of the past and do not replace heritage buildings by modern ones and bring back historical events. Most of them are performed by volunteers. Just check our web site. We visited some of these spectacles.
The "Eldon House" in London is one of the saved heritage buildings. It was built in 1834 for the family of John Harris. They owned it until 1959. Then they pledged it with all furniture to the city which took proper care of it.
The house is open all year long, but not on every day. PLease check the Internet for more details. We will not add any longer links because we never had been informed when the Internet address was changed.

London is a very attractive city which should still offer some well paid jobs for people with the right experience.
Excellent restaurants, events, concerts, theatres, museums, galleries and shopping, malls as well as boutiques ensure a quality of life. On top of this the "Thames River" and all the parks are a refuge for all nature lovers.
