I was told that most od the Canadian millionaires are living in London. This city has a population slightly over 100 000.
We always love visiting London and southwestern Ontario.
To get an overview about the highlights from this town without stress, we recommend to participate in a sightseeing tour in one of the double decker busses.

In Canada and especially in Ontario the history is young. In the "New World" everything which is over 150 years old is antique. Events from the 19 th. century are also considered to be a far back.
I am glad that many cities have learned the value of the past and do not replace heritage buildings by modern ones and bring back historical events. Most of them are performed by volunteers. Just check our web site. We visited some of these spectacles.
The "Eldon House" in London is one of the saved heritage buildings. It was built in 1834 for the family of John Harris. They owned it until 1959. Then they pledged it with all furniture to the city which took proper care of it.
The house is open all year long, but not on every day. PLease check the Internet for more details. We will not add any longer links because we never had been informed when the Internet address was changed.

London and its surroundings make certainly worth to visit. Whether you are interested in fine dining, arts, shopping, good accommodation, nature - you will find it here.
Get pampered in a good hotel and spend a few days here. We did not regret that.
A nice pool is always an attraction for us.

Speciality restaurants are another one. Please collect the most actual printed information about things going on in London. Book a sightseeing tour in a double decker bus to get an overview.
There are more than 200 parks you can visit. Some of them offer outdoor activities such as canoeing, sailing, wind surfing, or even winter sport. In other you will find occasionally concerts.
We visited wit a friend on a rainy day the "Fanshawe Conservation Area".
