We gave some slightly damaged molds to good friends who told us that their grand children would enjoy using them for making crafts.
As you can see in the following pictures they really had fun. But not only them. Grandma and mom too!
Making and painting ornaments using home made play dough went on for several days. No attention was given to the TV. It was even tuned off.
Here's the playdough recipe:
-2 cups of flour
-1 cup salt
-2 tablespoons corn oil
-1 1/2 cups water
-food coloring
-I teaspoon alum powder
Blend flour and salt and alum powder in a bowl. Add tinted water and oil. Knead mixture until stiff. If mixture is too wet, add more flour. Save in tight container.
Bake shapes at 150 degrees OR airdry. Then paint.
