We offer you a web site in the German language and register it not only with international search engines and directories but also with numerous ones used in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

We had some German customers and they all spoke English. We really don't see any need for a German site.

People in Germany are using mainly German search engines and German key words for searching. They will not find your present English web site.

We operate a B & B business. Your price is much higher than what we pay for our present site with the B & B association where we are listed. We are getting very good response from that site.

We know about this feature, but most of our customers don't speak German and we will not allow that the quality of our directory is affected by badly written sites. We also want to be in control of the content. Required updates will be done for a very moderate fee.

How do I know that you did a good job. We don't speak German and don't know any German search engines?

Together with our invoice you will receive a list of the search engines with which we have registered your site. If you have problems finding them, we will gladly assist you.
We regularly check if all registrations have been accepted. However, be aware that the best web site will not help you if your prices and what you offer don't match.

A friend of mine understands some German and told me that some of your German text is annoying.

Please show us those sites or statements! Our tourist guide has been written without any influence by business. It is mandatory to inform potential visitors about things which are different to Europe. If your friend considers this annoying, maybe he should do the German web site for you. Very often honesty is more convincing than unrealistic statements which cannot be proofed.

We really don't see a need for a German site, but can you include our existing English site in your German directory? Will people find us then?

Yes, we can help you by adding a brief German description of your business, including all contact information, to our searchable data base. However, we do not add links to English web sites because we received complaints when we did so.

For the beginning I think a listing in your data base is sufficient. How much do you charge for that service?

We offer banner advertising in all of our tourist guides. You can place advertising there. Please see our price list for more details.

We don't have Internet access but we would like to have a presence in the world wide web. Is that possible?

It is possible, but generally we don't recommend that. It depends of your business. You should be able to stay in contact with your potential customers. So far we do not have a single customer who uses Internet without having access to it.
At least you should be able to respond by phone or fax.

We are older people and we don't even have a computer, but we have phone and fax? We also do not speak any German. What can we do?

We recommend a listing in our data base. A brief description will contain all essential information about your business as well as your phone and fax number. We also will say that all requests must be in English.

We don't speak any German, what shall we do if somebody who doesn't not speak English writes us in German?

We clearly express which languages you speak. If you still get mail in German you need the help of somebody who can translate it for you. Please check that! If you don't know anybody, we can help you for a moderate fee. Please contact us in such a case.

We don't want to get only e-mail. Most of it is spam or potential customers forget something. We would like to use a registration form. Do you offer that service?

Yes, we can do this. However, it did not proof to be successful for our business, except for shopping carts. We must delete spam every day anyhow.

Do you offer a secure line for credit card payments?

Not yet. Nothing seems to be secure. We learned that the hard way that you are always on the losing side as long as you don't have a customer signed slip from the transaction. We are using PayPal for one product. It works great but the service is expensive.

We have good pictures which we want to use for our new German site. What shall we do? We don't have a scanner.

Please send them to us. We will do the rest. We will return them to you together with the invoice. Scanning is included in our prices.

I want to see the German web site, before we pay. Is that possible?

We even appreciate that. We inform you when the site is uploaded but not registered. We allow you five days for proofreading and checking.

What is your time schedule? How long do we have to wait until we get our site completed?

Today the normal turn around time is approximately two weeks. However, we will always give you a completion date when we receive your order or request.

How long will you keep our site on the web?

We recommend that your web site is stored on the server of your Internet provider. He will keep it there as long as you are with him and pay the bills. The initial fee for adverting in our tourist guide and in our data base covers one year. If the contact is not canceled by you in time before it expires it will automatically extended to the next year. Our invoice will clearly show that.

If we don't get any traffic or customers after a few months can we cancel the contact and get our money back?

No, unless you bring proof that this was caused by a mistake from us. We do not know any newspaper who offers a money back warranty.

Somebody told me that you make fun out of Canada and its people in your German tourist guide. We don't like that and for that reason we will not support you. We are a great country and do not need that.

I also love Canada but I also love Europe. Everybody should be willing to learn. It is true that we do not only describe the good sites. We give advise what not to do or what not to expect. Every country, including Canada, has good and bad things. We must inform potential customers to avoid later problems, e.g. no smoking policies, purchase of alcohol, fishing restrictions.
We made once a free web site for a beautiful hotel as a thank you gift. After I became sick of the exhaust gasses from the busses which were allowed to idle in front of our suite my wife luckily woke me up before the conditions became serious. I informed the hotel and put also an advise in the web site not to take a room in the area where this can happen because I still did not believe that the hotel management will take any actions. I do not want to loose my reputation by hiding bad or even dangerous things.

You always make the statement that our English site will not be found by German people. I don't believe that. We have been on the net for years and we even got requests from Germany.

Some people in Germany are using international search engines and directories. Certainly they use English key words for their search or the key words are the same in both languages. However, better business can be expected when you have a German Internet presence too.

I want to have the site which you may design for us on our server to save money and to be sure that the site stays there. Is that possible?

Yes, that is possible and we even recommend that very strongly. In this case we either send you the complete file by e-mail or on a disk and you must do the file transfer to your server by yourself unless you trust us and provide the required information. This also applies for future updates.

Who owns the web site you have designed for us?

After we have received your payment you own the web site.

Can you design a shopping cart for us?

Yes, we can - in German and in English. We use it for our own business and are extreme happy with it.

We want to have our own domain. Can you help us?

Please tell us what you want, we will gladly check the availability for you and tell you the costs.

We do not speak any German. However, we checked your English portfolio and found numerous spelling and grammar errors. This makes us anxious about the quality of the German sites.

I am aware of that. I could not afford to pay for proofreading by our partner company RBBSMART for pages we prepared for our tourist guides. For paying customers we will use RBBSMART for proofreading. In order to save you money you can do that for English sites by yourself and we do the corrections as part of the job.

Most search engines offer now excellent translation programs which are very easy to use.
For that reason it is a waste of money to pay for new web sites. The use of the translation programs is totally free and I know many people who use it.

We tested the translation programs and the outcome is normally hilarious. If you translate it back to the original language it is even more fun to read.
By using translation program you also miss to provide essential information for foreign guests which are probably not contained in your English site.
Use such a program and translate a German site into English. If you like the results it is OK with us.
