The bridge over the Grand River
A good starting point for driving along the Grand River is Dunnville. Visit the mouth of the river in Maidland on Lake Erie. It is only a short drive away.
Dunnville and the Grand River are a paradise for fishing enthusiasts.
 The Grand River at Dunnville
You can catch Catfish, Sheepshead, Silver Bass and occasionally Pike or Walleye.

Boating is another preference of many people on the Grand River. You even can rent boats. Don't forget to get a fishing license before going fishing.
We always visit Downtown Dunnville when we come to this little township. We always discover something new and do some shopping.

 Downtown Dunnville
Sometimes I believe Elizabeth is born to shop. Her mother is the same. However, I did not complain when she showed me this store filled with all kind of antiques, collectibles, books, music tapes and much, much more. I enjoyed a coffee, life music and home made pies there and purchased a tape with funny, old music. Unfortunately, this store went out of business.

Dunnville is also known for many events which we all missed so far. I promise to visit some of them in 2010.
The beach in Rock Point Park
 Fun in Lake Erie
We also love to explore the surroundings of Dunnville. The Rock Point Provincial Park" is our favorite destination for swimming and relaxing.
Unfortunately sometimes parts of Lake Erie are not safe for swimming because of pollution. This is a shame but I am afraid this problems cannot be solved very fast.
If this is the case we visit beautiful Byng Island which is located close to Dunnville in the Grand River. They have a beautiful large pool which is easily accessible even for handicapped people. Please visit our web site.
 A beautiful park
We enjoy driving through Lowbanks and Longbeach or we go from Dunnville West on Highway 3 and do a left turn at the "Rainham Centre". After seeing all the cottages along Lake Erie we stated dreaming of owing also a cottage here. We used the bad smell of rotting sea weed as an excuse not do so - even when we experienced this only one time!
