Guelph

Location:
Province: Ontario; Tourist Region: Festival Country
Internet: http://www.itcwebdesigns.com/guelph_ca.htm

Description:

Guelph was founded in 1827. It was for me a big surprise that the town has still many historical buildings. Normally older buildings are considered to be a safety hazard or not to be up to standards and torn down. Participate in one of the guided tours which are offered between beginning of May and end of October on every Sunday.

Description:

In the Haliburton area you should spend at least a certain part of your vacations in a cottage resort.
We always loved it to be in a well equipped cottage surrounded by nature and only few steps away from a private beach.
During winter explore the beautiful area with a snowmobile or by cross country skiing.

Location:
Province: Ontario; Tourist Region: Festival Country
Internet: http://www.itcwebdesigns.com/jordan_ca.htm

Description:

Jordan and its surroundings are a very lovely part of the Niagara peninsula.
Nestled between vineyards and fruit gardens it is one of my favorite destinations when we have visitors and I want to show them our area. The Location has a relative long history and all the old houses are nicely renovated. Many of them have been converted into small galleries, stores and boutiques. I was especially attracted by one which sells sculptures and other art work created by the Inuit and Iroquois.

In 2012 our guests from Germany traveled again for a few days to Lake Huron - one of their favorite areas which is close to where we live. In August they were still pampered with blue sky and warm weather. After lots of rain and low temperatures in Germany they enjoyed this trip to Kincardine.

Internet: http://www.itcwebdesigns.com/kingston_ca.htm

Description:

Kingston is blessed with many historical buildings which date back the 19th century.
We loved downtown and the waterfront.
I want to come back with Elizabeth to take again pictures of things which we had visited a few years ago. We lost many of our own images when our computer was stolen. Many thanks for the help to Wikipedia and its supporters.

Kitchener

Location:
Province: Ontario; Tourist Region: Festival Country

Description:

Before WWI the name of this city was "Berlin". During the war the name was changed to Kitchener and as I was told some nasty things happened in this time to the Germans who lived there. Today everybody lives peaceful with his neighbors. Kitchener is well know by the second largest Oktoberfest of the world. And it is a real Oktoberfest because it is celebrated in October.

Lakefield

Location:
Province: Ontario; Tourist Region: Getaway Country
Internet: http://www.itcwebdesigns.com/lakefield_ca.html

Description:

Lakefield is nestled on Lake Katchewanooka in the Kawarthas. We could only admire this lake. Summer was already gone and the water was even for me too cold for swimming. In addition the weather was changing from sunshine to overcast and then to very cloudy.
The complete area is so beautiful and relaxing that we wished that we could stay longer.
