Watch Elizabeth touring the Western Brook Pond in Newfoundland

Contact Information: N/A

Internet: http://itcwebdesigns.com/Western_Brook_Pond01.html

Description:

The pond is really a pond with no connection to the sea. I was told that the boats which are used there were carried in bits and pieces by helicopters to this pond and assembled there. Because of my bad knees and the extensive walking which is required, Elizabeth did this tour without me.

A visit to the Broom Point on the western coast of Newfoundland

Contact Information: N/A

Internet: http://www.itcwebdesigns.com/Broom_Point_ca01.html

Description:

I used the time Elizabeth was spending on her tour to the "Western Brook Pond" to visit the close by Broom Point. Before I did that I stopped at a grocery store in St. Pauls to fill up the fridge which we carried in our car. Broom Point is a tiny little restored fishing village which was active until 1975. I wanted to learn a little bit about lobster fishing even when I am not a real sea food fan.

Norstead at L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland

Contact Information:

N/A
Tel. N/A

Location:
Province: Newfoundland-Labrador; Tourist Region: Western Region
Internet: http://itcwebdesigns.com/Norstead01_ca.html

Description:

In the sixties Norwegian archaeologists found traces of a Viking settlement here. I learned about that when we were planning our first trip by car to the "Rock" how the island of Newfoundland is also called. Our visit dates back a few years, but it was very much later as that from the original Vikings which came about one thousand years ago.

Our boat tour to the icebergs in Twillingate, Newfoundland

Contact Information: N/A

Internet: http://itcwebdesigns.com/Iceberg_tour01.html

Description:

Whenever we visited Newfoundland-Labrador with our car we did this in June. The main season had not started and even the black flies stayed still away. The chances to see icebergs were much better and the prices for accommodation were more reasonable, but luckily all attractions were already open for visitors.
