It brings back the historical attempt by the British army to reconquer the fort which was in the hands of American troops. Visit the camps of both parties. Participate in the "Lantern Tour".

It was dedicated to the celebration of the 150 th. anniversary of our city which is also called "The Rose City".

Volunteers show scenes related to this great event. No fee is charged and even a free CD is handed out which guides you through the different live displays.

All this you can find in the near by Ball's Falls Conservation Area. When you are here in October you should spend at least a few hours when Thanksgiving is celebrated in Ball's Falls. Local artist and crafts people show their work and sell it. Beautifully restored buildings from the former hamlet are filled with live.

I believe that this city has created a business and tourist friendly environment compared to others. Nice little restaurants, boutiques and lots of sightseeing. The Canal Days are celebrated every year. The next will be between July 30, 31, August 1, 2, 2010.
