This stuffed porcupine was a main attraction and many purchased smaller stuffed replicas of it. On our trip to Labrador we saw many of them on the road. Obviously, they are addicted to salt which is used during the winter.
The stories that they can shoot their needles are not true. But many predators died when they tried to eat them.

Naturally, Elizabeth supports Camp Kahqua - not only by buying souvenirs - she also dedicated a part of her offerings at our church to this Christian camp.

Many indoor activities are offered at Camp Kahqua. Not only to keep you busy on rainy days, but also for people with walking problems who can not hike the so called "Hiawatha Trail".

Elizabeth enjoys always the outdoors very much. She had a great time during this wonderful Indian summer in 2008 at the Ahmic Lake in the Christian Camp Kahqua.
During the summer months the attractive sandy beach of the camp is certainly perfect for swimming and bathing.
Free row boats and pedal boats are available for guests.

The beautiful nature and the clean air made Elizabeth's stay to an unforgettable event besides all the fellowship. She was so excited that she was already thinking about another visit with me in 2009. We only have to arrange for a cat sitter.

I always thought that shuffle board is a music instrument. Now I know I may be able to play it too. I must not run and jump. I even may be able to sit down when playing it.
After I got mangled up in an accident with my fast Vespa on the QEW and my walking is not any longer the greatest. I do not talk about my age and my overweight!.

Elizabeth was excited about all the things which Camp Kahqua offers. Starting with the singing (she is member in a German - Canadian choir) and the worship , the food, the friendliness of the staff, the new contacts she made, and all the offered activities.
