Bracebridge and surroundings - many thanks to MapArt
Bracebridge is also a very good starting point for exploring the Muskoka Region.
The city has a population of approximately 16 000 and does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
From Bracebridge the distance to the North Pole is the same as to the equator.

Visit a tourist office and collect the most actual information about events and offered tours. All this depends from the season.
In the warmer season cruises on Lake Muskoka, hiking and biking are favorites. In winter snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing etc. are offered.
If you never did snowmobiling and do not own one, check for guided tours. We did this during our visit to Newfoundland. PLease check our web site about this adventure.

The little town is very clean and full of little attractions |
|
The little clean town offers many surprises when exploring it by walking. It is not a so called "tourist trap".
The Muskoka river with its 22 water falls alone is an attraction.
At the time of our visit my walking was still better than now an it is much easier to discover all the little hidden treasure by foot than by car.
We cannot list all the actual events - so please ask when you are there.
After seeing so many historical structures being destroyed in our area we were pleased to find here many well kept heritage buildings.
Explore the surroundings of Bracebridge. You can even do some winter sport here. |
