Warnings and Restrictions

Classic acupuncture is considered to be extremely safe when properly applied by a well trained specialist.
Our electro-acupuncture unit "Acuhealth Pro 900" allows the user to treat themselves by following the very detailed instructions and stimulating the relevant points.
However, as with any medication or treatments serious side effects can occur when you disobey the advises given in the treatment manual to consult your doctor first.

List of warnings

• As with all devices and products to be used on or by people for a medical reason, professional medical advice should always be sought priors to use.

• If an electronic point stimulator is used it is especially recommended that persons with pacemakers ensure specialist medical advise is obtained.

• During pregnancy it is considered important to avoid stimulation of a number of points.
Morning sickness has been treated effectively, however seek specialist medical advice prior to commencing any stimulation.

• Certain points are considered to be forbidden during pregnancy. These are: LI4, SP6, ST36, K3, UN67, UB40. Also all points on the lower abdomen, lower back and sacral regions. Point P6 is not to be used during the fourth month.

• Epilepsy: please consult your neurologist before starting any treatment! Electrical stimulation is contraindicated, as it might precipitate attacks.
