I read many good things about acupuncture, but I was always afraid of sticking needles in my body. Also the costs for a treatment are very high.
Can I treat myself with your unit? Do you provide all required information? Is their any hazard by doing something wrong?

Two very easy to use manuals come with each unit of our "Acuhealth Pro 900". Just follow the treatment sequence written for the most common health conditions. Pictures which show the location of the stimulation points are a great help.

I am a little bit familiar with acupuncture and I also want to treat myself at home.

We are aware of that problem. For that reason every "Acuhealth Pro 900" unit comes with an "Extension Probe" which allows you with the help of a mirror to reach even stimulation points on you back.

What does the treatment achieve? Does it heal a disease or is it only some kind of pain killer?.

It does not replace modern medical treatments. But it is very successful device for fast pain relief without the possible harmfully side effects of some medications.

What is the success rate of using Acuhealth 900?. Can I send it back if it does not work for me?

Most people find the Pro 900 to be a very effective treatment but, as with all therapies, there maybe some people who find it is not for them.
The success rate with using our unit "Acuhealth Pro 900" is around 85%. Please read our manuals carefully. They contain many hints which may help you to have a successful treatment.

I have epilepsy as well as arthritis.
I have continuously sever pain and I am taking medication. I am aware about the side effects.
Can I use you acupuncture unit without the hazard that this treatment causes a seizure? I have been seizure free for years and I would like to avoid the severe side effects of the medication, but I also do not want to loose my drivers license.

Please consult your neurologist before doing any treatment. My wife who has epilepsy did so and was told it is ok. However the stiimulation of any points on the head must be avoided.

I read in the Internet that acupuncture can also be used to treat diabetes. I am taking daily medication to control my blood sugar levels.
Can I use acupuncture instead?

The "Acuhealth Pro 900" was mainly developed for pain relief. We consider it to be an alternative without harmful side effects to pain killers. We recommend that you stay with the conventional treatment! For that reason we do not list diabetes in our treatment manual.

How often can I use the acupuncture unit? Is there any hazard if I use it frequently.

You know that the body can become resistant against certain medications which are used too frequently. Antibiotics are one example.
We recommend that you use our "Acuhealth Pro 900" also only in a moderate way. We recommend that at least 3 to 4 hours should be allowed between each treatment.

I have several little aches, which come when you get older. Before I purchase an "Acuhealth Pro 900" unit, I want to know where it can help me to make my daily live less painful.

You mentioned that the unit which you offer was not approved by the FDA. I do not want to face any hazards by using the "Acuhealth Pro 900". Why do you not offer the "TENS Pro 900" which has a FDA approval?

The main difference between the "Acuhealth Pro 900" and the "TENS Pro 900" is the system of return current (earthing facility) which enables the physician to use the TENS Pro unit on a patient without the necessity of personal contact. (This is achieved by the patient wearing a wrist strap which is attached to the unit.) This is a decided advantage for professional use. The basic operating method and treatment results obtained from the unit are essentially the same.
In the USA you even need a prescription to purchase the unit legally. For that reason we cannot accept orders from the USA.
The "TENS Pro 900" does not include the extension probe which is required for self treatment. Most users take advantage of that. That is the reason why we offer only the "Acuhealth Pro 900".

.I have a friend who is using the "Acuhealth Pro 900" and he likes it. However, he is wondering why the treatment uses unusual measurements when defining the location of the stimulation points. Instead of inches or centimeters "thumb widths" are used. You should change to dimensions which everybody knows. Will you do that?

No, we will not change. The thumb width is the standard measure for acupuncture and relates to individual body dimensions. These kind of measurement is related to the size of the patient. If we used inches or centimeters the treatment points could not be properly located.

Are you only a web designer as your e-mail address shows? I do not want to purchase such a unit from somebody who is not a professional. If I have any questions I expect to get sound advise from somebody who knows the product that he is selling.

What is the battery life? Can I use rechargeable batteries to save money?

The battery life depends the amount of use and age of the battery. Normally you can expect at least one to two months, if not more. Remove the battery if the unit is not used for a longer period.
Don't use rechargeable batteries. The required optimum voltage is above 8 Volt and rechargeable batteries drop below this very rapidly. Also there is the danger of them exploding if they short-circuit.

Is the treatment painful? How do I feel after?

My personal experience is that depending from the stimulation point you may feel almost nothing, on other points you feel some tingling which may spread, sometimes you may get the feeling that too much pressure is applied to the probe which is not the case.
Some points may even be uncomfortable, but it is an indication that the points are in need of stimulation. Occasionally small red marks can be seen on your skin where the stimulation was applied.
Generally, the pain is gone for several hours, but you may feel some numbness in the treatment area.

As in multiple drug use is there an interaction or interference between acupuncture and certain drugs? I am diabetic and have high blood pressure. I take my prescription drugs on a daily basis.

Can the unit used on children? Any age restrictions?

There are many instances, on the Internet, of electro-acupuncture being used to treat children. The treatment of children we believe should not be undertaken lightly nor diagnosed by a non-qualified adult, hence our advice (the same goes for treating adults). Nevertheless, experience over many years has shown that we have never had any type of occurrence with anybody treating children and we have been told by various people that the product had proven helpful. We recommend not using the Pro 900 unit on very young children due to their skin being more sensitive.
