Exploring Toronto and not visiting the CN Tower would be a big mistake. For a long time this tower was the highest building on earth - not any longer. But it is still very impressive and the panoramic view is breathtaking.
I did not follow up the competition of countries with respect to the highest building - fort me the CN Tower is high enough,
All of our guests enjoyed the spectacular view on "Harbour Front" and the "Sky Doms" or "Roger Centre" how it is called now.
Find a close by parking and browse the area by walking and take your time. There is always something wich you discover by doing so and you can visit all the surrounding attractions without having excessive stress.
However, do not attempt to climb up the tower - use the really fast elevator.
I could not believe when one of our German helicopter test pilots admitted that he got dizzy looking down. Obviously he missed the solid floor of his flying machine!
Relax in the rotating restaurants and do not forget to check what else is offered. Once we took a simulated ride in outer space.

The CN-Tower seen from "Harbour Front"
This trip in outer space was not cheap and I was not really impressed. Other people were exited, especially the kids.
The CN tower was opened to the public in 1976. I learned that it can withstand storms up to 400 km/h. I never heard of such a strong storm and I am confident that nobody would be allowed to be in the tower during such conditions.
Some of the pictures were taken by our German visitors. They loved it, did not get sick and enjoyed after that a meal in China town.
A great vista when you have a weather like that
You can look down to skyscrapers!
Offshore of the harbor of Toronto are several islands. Many of them are connected to each other by bridges. The largest one is called "Toronto Island" and it has a landing strip for airplanes. Unfortunately we never had visited it.
Toronto has some impressing architecture
Visit the "Harbour Front Centre".
A little bit scary - a glass floor open to the public. Our guests stepped also on it and took pictures.
An unusual place to relax or play
What you see in the background are not real workers, but a picture taken when the tower was built.
There a many more things to discover - come and do that! Visit also the official web site.
