Hopefully, by now you've gotten used to the fact that distances between Ontario holiday destinations can not be compared to those in Europe.
Also, the places are getting smaller as you move further north.
After all, Blind River at Georgian Bay still has about 3500 inhabitants and, like all other villages, makes all efforts to attract visitors. Besides nature this village will give you a glance in the past.
Visit the ";Timber Village Museum". Visiting such museums was always part of our travel program. Most of the time the museums were run by senior volunteers who were always very friendly and helpful. None of them put emphasis on a title. We were always happy about that.
This is unfortunately an exception in our area!

I've already used a lot of pictures and videos in my travel guide taken with a drone. I think about whether it is still worth to own my own helicopter at my age. I worked for many years as an engineer for a German helicopter manufacturer - but never had flown one by myself.
Because of my bad knees I intend to do that.

Watch the video about "Matinenda Lake"! You will find the link below.
To find the lake you have to drive quite a bit to the north on the HWY 557. It ends there.
Find out about the activities offered in nature such as recommended hiking trails, guided tours, boat rentals etc.
Visit some of the parks.
